What’s a Landing Page?
A landing page is where you should send people after they click on an ad that you’re paying for, or from a popup, a marketing email, etc.
The key feature of a landing page is that there are no distractions. No menus, no links to anything on your website.
A landing page should also have one single, clear call-to-action.
How Landing Pages Work
Visitors to a landing page should complete the call to action or hit their back button and navigate away.
This distraction-free environment keeps the visitor focused on the task at hand without any opportunity to get distracted and forget why they arrived there.
A landing page maximizes your conversion rate, the percentage of people who complete your call to action vs. the total number of visitors to the page.
This course is a great way to get started with creating landing pages.
We’ll create a simple landing page that would be great for a lead magnet, a valuable document, a checklist, a case study, etc., that you would give to visitors in exchange for their email addresses.
