A Webby Awards Nomination is a Big Deal
Out of 13,500 global entries, only five websites are accepted into each category for the Webby Awards. The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) which is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.
TheBookFest is entered into the Best Event Websites and Mobile Sites category.
In addition to the judging, as a nominee, The BookFest can be voted on to win a Webby’s People’s Voice Award. From now until May 8th, 2021, the public can cast their votes at vote.webbyawards.com.
I’d be very grateful if you could support The BookFest team and help them continue to offer FREE content for book lovers everywhere by casting your vote for them.
The BookFest is a website that I built with the team at Black Château including Desireé Duffy, Dave Napox, Siddhi Jahagirdar, Bree Swider, A.G. Billig, and Tianna Marinucci.
We’ve won two previous awards for this website including a MUSE Awards 2020 Gold Award and a w3 Awards 2020 Silver Award.
The BookFest
The first BookFest happened on May 9, 2020. It was created at a time when social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic prevented in-person gatherings. Free to attend from the start, the biannual event now takes place in the spring and fall, and streams panel discussions, conversations, and festivities for the reading and writing communities. You can find The BookFest at www.thebookfest.com.
